hourly comics saturday

11amRemember the hourly comics I did last year? I was supposed to do them again on February 1st, but I was slammed at work and it just wasn’t happening. So instead I did them the following day, February 2nd! And I have to say I enjoyed it a lot more, because my Saturdays are not under an NDA. Here they are!

So I rented ParaNorman a little while ago and saw your name in the end credits and thought – wait a second, I know that name. THAT’S THE WOMAN WHO MADE SNOW-BO. And I spent a lot of time in college watching all the twisted/funny animations the internet had to offer, but Snow-bo was one of my favorites, so it just made me really happy to see your name in the credits for a movie and know that you didn’t end up bartending like a lot of the art students I work with (I do art modeling for figure drawing/painting/sculpture classes). Today I googled you and saw that you have this website, and a wiki page, and you’re just, like, a bonafide success story and an inspiration. I hope I get to see you at Comicon.

I just finished reading Anya’s Ghost and it was really good, I love all your work and was wondering what other books you write!

  9. Carol Storm says:

I’m a librarian at a community college, and I don’t really read graphic novels. But when they put me in charge of the GN collection the first book I read was ANYA’S GHOST. It was sweet and funny and scary and it just totally made me more enthusiastic about my job. Thank you so much!
