Leave Me Alone
2017 Caldecott Honor Book
My debut picture book from Roaring Book Press. It's the story of an old woman trying to get her winter knitting done in a house full of noisy grandchildren. One day she gets fed up and yells, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Her epic quest for peace and quiet takes her through the woods, up a mountain, and onto the moon.
“Brosgol’s folkloric tale is full of humor and repetition, making it a good choice to read aloud . . . Understatedly funny, just like the Eastern European folk tales on whose shoulders it stands.” —Kirkus Reviews
“The fizzy collision of old-fashioned fairy tale elements with space-age physics is delightful, and even the most extroverted readers will recognize that sometimes you just need a little space.” — Publisher’s Weekly starred review
